These 3 images show the erection of transmission lines - work in Franklin County, Texas erected by Envenergy - to meet the Interconnection specifications set by Oncor - for transmission of power from solar fields at Cunningham, Texas, through Franklin County to connect to the Oncor substation just west of the Franklin County Airport.
Then these six photos show the installations out at the Airport area. An Oncor signing giving the GPS location; an Oncor sign warning of dangerous voltage; two photos inside the Thorn Tree Switch and two photos of transmission lines taking in Texas countryside outside the switch station.
MESSAGE !!!!!!
Oncor says they aren’t destroying our countryside. These are Oncor installations and the transmission lines are built under “interconnection” agreements between Oncor and foreign developers. These are all photos of destruction in Franklin County, Texas. Tell the PUC (Call: 1-888-782-8477. Austin: 512-936-7120. TTY: 1-800-735-2988. Email: consumer@puc.texas.gov.) and tell the TCEQ (903-535-5100 • FAX: 903-595-1562) – to stop this destruction of our land and landscape. There has to be a better way. New small modular nuclear plants must be built near Dallas to get power to Dallas instead of destroying field and forest here. The Navy has relied on nuclear facilities for years; time for Texas to embrace the reality of nuclear and to approve clean use of our natural gas resources. We can’t afford the footprint required for solar AND the footprint to get the solar power to market.
