THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, TEXAS

The future of agriculture in Franklin County, Texas.

Land sitting vacant with solar leases in place with Enel - a developer our of Rome - waiting to claim tax credits from American taxpayers to put panels over our productive farmland. Paying enough money to stop all productive use - well - until hail or tornado destroys the panels on the land.

And all of nature is displaced.

Drive north for 9 miles along FM 1896 from the intersection of US Highway 67 near Mt. Vernon. Oncor has filed plans to build huge new transmission towers and lines (we ratepayers pay for this transmission) and Enel plans a million panels and two big battery storage facilities (think 200,000 lithium batteries). All to benefit a few. We local citizens suffer and pay.

Tell commissioners to say no to road agreements and tax deals; keep these cancers out.
